Christmas for Kids Benefits Lake Area Children

The best medical spa at the Lake of the Ozarks is proud to call this area home. The Lake area is full of wonderful, caring people that do their best to take care of each other when possible. A perfect example of this is the annual Lake Area Christmas for Kids celebration.  Each year, people come together to make sure that every local child has a merry Christmas.  Serenity Medical Spa would like to share the event details with you so that you can join in on the fun and make a lot of kids happy this season.

For $20 and a new unwrapped toy, you get an evening full of food, music, dancing, and amazing silent auction items.  If you don't want to go shopping, you can pay $40 at the door and skip the toy donation.  If you would like to do more, corporate and table sponsorships are available and include reserved seating and tickets for 10, plus admission to the VIP party before the event. 

This annual fundraiser is organized by the Kiwanis Club of Ozark Coast and sponsored by area businesses.  All proceeds raised and toys collected will benefit Underprivileged Children in the Lake Area and CADV, Wonderland Camp, Hope House, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Lake Regional Pediatrics, YMCA, Share the Harvest Food Pantry, and Kid's Harbor.  

THE ENTERTAINMENT

This year's live music features two fantastic acts.  The evening will begin with entertainment by the talented Shawn C.  The evening will conclude with Captain Geech & the Shrimp Shack Shooters.  They kept the crowd on the dance floor all night long last year, and we expect a repeat of their incredible performance.  

SILENT AUCTION

There will be a silent auction going on throughout the evening.  The tables are always filled with amazing items, perfect for gift-giving this Christmas or as a special treat to yourself.  All of the money raised will go towards buying toys to gift to the 1800 children that the benefit is expected to help this year.  

HOW YOU CAN HELP

It's not over on Sunday night!  The Kiwanis Club needs all of the volunteers that they can get to organize the toys and get them ready for distribution to the many Lake area families.  These will take place over the 2-3 days after Christmas for Kids.  Help is needed for:

• Sorting the toys.
• Shopping for additional toys to finish the wish lists.
• Wrapping all of those toys!  Bring your own scissors and they'll provide the paper.
• Distributing the toys.  Most are picked up, but some need to be delivered.  If you can help with delivery, please contact Wayne Marlow at 573-434-4043.
