Serenity Medical Spa always states that "Beauty is our business," and by this we mean beauty that is both inside and out. Body oils do more than just make your skin slick and smooth. They affect you in a few different beneficial ways.
They keep skin moisturized.
Body oils are known for the fact that they keep skin moisturized. When applied after a shower or bath while the skin is still damp, they can lock the moisture into your skin for hours. Oils are especially wonderful for extremely dry, flaky, or tight skin.
The last longer than lotions.
A little bit of body oil can cover a lot more skin than lotion does. When you warm it up, it will go even further. Oils can also be applied while you are still in the shower or added to your bath water, and lotions cannot.
They reduce stress.
Physically, body oils can reduce stress and relieve aches and pains when used with massage. Hands glide over skin much smoother and gentler with them. Mentally, you can also find these oils in scents that have specific aromatherapy benefits. For example, peppermint is good for mental fatigue and enhances memory, and jasmine is great for fighting stress and anxiety.
They can be lightly scented.
When you choose a scented body oil, it is never overpowering. This makes them perfect for people that appreciate a small amount of an aroma, but not a strong one. They are also light enough that they can be paired along with your favorite fragrances.
Body oils are a great product to have on hand. If you have been following along with Serenity Medical Spa's "December Countdown to Christmas," you know that we are offering our fabulous Apricot Body Oil for 50% off all day on Wednesday, December 23, 2015.
